Electric Warfare Capabilities
Aeromation provides an airborne test platform for operational test and evaluation of electrionc warfare systems and develops fully automated testing capabilities for EW system components.
EW System Testing
To support operational test and evaluation of electronic warfare systems, Aeromation installs the customer's EW system on our test platform. For a small system, the system under test may be installed in the forward radome and/or un-pressurized equipment bay just aft of radome. For larger systems, the mounting options include: mounting to hard points beneath the center section of the wing, on equipment racks within the pressure section of the fuselage, or distributed within pressure section of the fuselage with the antenna mounted on the exterior of the aircraft.
Our work scope for EW system testing normal includes:
- Work with the customer to jointly develop the test schedule and flight profiles.
- Provide the flight test platform
- Review the interfaces between the Aircraft and the System Under Test.
- Generate installation drawing for supplied customer equipment
- Fabricate mounting hardware.
- Install customer provided equipment
- Obtain an appropriate airworthiness certificate.
- Support development of test cards
- Support test readiness revues
- Provide flight test crews
- Provide as flown flight profile data to the customer.
EW Module Testing Capabilities
Aeromation is a to provide fully automated testing of RF / Microwave Receivers, Transmitters and Transmit Receive (TR) modules with multiple input and output channels and internal frequency conversion. Software design, code and debug as necessary to characterizes the following RF / Microwave small signal parameters:
- Gain
- Bandwidth,
- Bass band ripple
- Compression points
- Inter-modulation products
- Noise figure
- Deviation from liner phase
- Channel to Channel gain / phase matching..
Our work scope for system components testing normaly includes:
- Select test equipment that meets accuracy requirements necessary to test precision RF and Micro wave components
- Configure RF test system to perform testing of receivers with integrated internal frequency conversion (down / up).
- Design RF switching network to perform testing of a devices with multiple RF inputs and outputs.
- Configure / design digital interfaces to control test station RF switches and unit under test states / modes
- Develop self test / calibration scheme for test station RF switch matrix and unit under test controls
- Translate unit under test RF specifications into ATE software requirements
- Translate self test / calibration scheme into ATE software requirements
- Implement unit under test software requirements using Nation Instruments LAB View and Test Stand tools
- Implement self test / calibration scheme software requirements using Nation Instruments tools
- Resolve discrepancies in test data obtained across multiple test stations / locations.
- Demonstrate and sell off of automated RF test equipment and associated software at customer sites.
